Colour-coded care types let you assign a colour to each visit type — such as Personal Care, Medication, Domestic or Companionship. Those colours then appear on visit cards when you switch to care type colour coding, so coordinators can see what type of care is needed at a glance, without opening individual records.
Switching to care type colour coding
In the schedule, look for the View Settings button in the top right toolbar — it sits between the Publish button and the Fullscreen button. Click it to choose how visits are colour-coded.
The options are:
By Status — visits are coloured by their current status
By Area — visits are coloured by the area the customer belongs to
By Care Type — visits are coloured by care type
Select By Care Type to see care type colours on visit cards. A legend will appear showing each care type and its colour, so you can always see what each colour means without leaving the schedule.
Availability: Colour coding is currently available on Schedule Views. It will be coming soon to Runs Management and Employee Permanent Roster.
Setting up care type colours
Go to Roster Settings.
Open Visit and Event Types.
In the Visit Types table, find the Colour column.
Choose a colour for each care type from the preset colour list.
If you also want to colour non-contact events (such as training or travel), do the same in the Non-Contact Event Types table.
Click Save.
Tip: You can assign the same colour to more than one care type. If a care type has no colour assigned, visits of that type will appear in grey.
Colour legend
When By Care Type is selected in View Settings, a colour legend is displayed showing which colour corresponds to which care type, so coordinators can reference the key at any time without navigating to Settings.
